American Jobs Plan (Again) Earns Support from Large Majority of Americans

CBS News poll: 59-percent of voters approve of the American Jobs Plan

American Jobs Plan: Why Indiana Needs It

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Democratic Party, the organization that advocates for the future of Indiana and its families, today celebrated a new poll by CBS News showing about 59-percent Americans throwing their support for President Joe Biden’s American Jobs Plan. This recent news once again highlights voters’ wish for a revitalized infrastructure system, and just like the American Rescue Plan, the Jobs Plan would deliver for Hoosier families. This large support from American voters comes on the eve of the U.S. Senate setting its vote on elements of the infrastructure legislation as recently as Wednesday

Further, yesterday’s poll was released just as the Indiana Democratic Party embarked on its American Jobs Plan tour, a statewide press campaign aimed at sharing with Hoosiers about why the state needs this infrastructure package. Democrats have held Jobs Plan events in Hancock, Porter, Marion, and St. Joseph counties with an additional stop today in Carroll County.

American Jobs Plan earns support from more than 59-percent of voters.

The American Jobs Plan has received bipartisan support. More than 40-percent of Republicans support Biden’s infrastructure plan – including Indiana Republican mayors Jim Brainard (Carmel) and Steve Collier (Lawrence), who signed onto a letter last week calling on Congress to pass the bipartisan portion of the Jobs Plan. Should Republicans in Indiana’s Congressional delegation vote “NO” on any of this infrastructure proposal, the Indiana Republican Party would once again reveal itself to be a political organization that would rather abide by extreme partisanship than deliver for Hoosier families.

Under the proposed American Jobs Plan, Indiana will fix its crumbling roads and bridges, take broadband internet expansion to the next level, eliminate childcare deserts for families, strengthen unions via the Protect the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, and secure better health care access for Indiana’s 400,000+ veterans. Hoosiers can learn more about the Jobs Plan by visiting the Indiana Democratic Party’s website: “The American Jobs Plan: Why Indiana Needs It”.

Let’s elect more Hoosier Democrats
We can't sit this one out.
