Does INGOP Support Tomorrow’s “Justice for J6” Rally in Washington?

Don’t forget: Jim Baird, Jim Banks, Greg Pence, and Jackie Walorski all voted to overturn the 2020 presidential election results

ICYMI: Mike Braun and Jim Banks encouraged Hoosiers to attend January 6 Insurrection at U.S. Capitol

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Democratic Party, the organization that advocates for the future of Indiana and its families, today asked Indiana’s media to get the Indiana Republican Party on the record about whether they support this Saturday’s so-called “Justice for J6” rally in Washington, D.C. The rally is being held to show support of the insurrection against the United States on January 6 where domestic terrorists stormed the U.S. Capitol to halt the peaceful transition of power written in the U.S. Constitution. U.S. Senator Mike Braun and U.S. Congressman Jim Banks both encouraged Hoosiers to attend the insurrection, choosing a dangerous criminality over democracy and American values.

Further, it’s worth remembering that many members of the Indiana Republican Party voted to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. Joining Jim Banks, Jim Baird, Greg Pence, and Jackie Walorski all decided to prioritize their Party’s extreme partisanship, and in turn, peddled forms of misinformation and conspiracy theories that continue to divide Hoosier families across Indiana. But this is the Indiana Republican Party, a political organization without an identity or agenda to help create a better future for Hoosier families. Instead, Republicans say “NO” to the American Rescue Plan, COVID-19 vaccines, and the upcoming American Jobs Plan — all policies they claim to support with voters.

It’s time for Indiana Republicans to show Hoosiers where they stand. Will they continue to support a dangerous and extreme form of partisanship or do they support American values and the idea to build better opportunities for Indiana?

Mike Braun signs objection to Arizona’s 2020 presidential election results on January 6, 2021.

IndyStar: “In the House, three Indiana Republicans voted to object to certifying in Arizona: Rep. Jackie Walorski, Rep. Jim Banks and Rep. Jim Baird. The vote failed in both the House and the Senate.”

“In the House, Walorski, Banks and Baird were joined in their Pennsylvania objection by Rep. Greg Pence, who is the brother of Vice President Mike Pence. The vote failed 282-138.”

Let’s elect more Hoosier Democrats
We can't sit this one out.
