FACT SHEET: Hoosiers Seeing Results From President Biden’s Invest in America Agenda

The Biden-Harris Administration’s Investing in America Agenda — led by the accomplishments of the American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure and Jobs Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act — has delivered historic results for Indiana. Under the leadership of President Biden and Reps. Frank Mrvan and André Carson, Indiana is seeing manufacturing return and thrive with over $12 billion in private investment in industries of the 21st century. This means more access to good-paying jobs, expedited small business growth, and more money for working Hoosier families.

“President Biden and Indiana Democrats are creating strong economic growth and creating more opportunities for working Hoosiers. With the economy seeing record job creation — and historically low unemployment — families are reaping the benefits while Republicans continue to push an agenda to lower taxes for billionaires and increase handouts to special interests,” said Indiana Democratic Party Chairman Mike Schmuhl.

“President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are putting people and communities first, and it has never been more clear: we must re-elect them to finish the job they started.”

Here’s a look at just a few of the ways President Biden’s Invest in America agenda has – and will continue to – deliver for Indiana.

  • Under the Biden-Harris administration, private companies have announced $12 billion so far in commitments to invest in 21st-century industries in Indiana, including:
    • $2 billion for Semiconductors and Electronics;
    • $5 billion for EVs and Batteries;
    • And $5 billion for Biomanufacturing
  • $3.6 billion in public infrastructure investment has been directed to Indiana during the Biden Administration, including:
    • $3 billion announced for transportation investments in roads, bridges, public transit, ports, and airports
    • $77.7 million announced to make our communities more resilient to climate change and other threats
    • $323.9 million announced to provide clean water across Indiana and improve water infrastructure
  • 3 percent unemployment rate in Indiana, with 213.2 thousand new jobs created, including 21.7 thousand new Hoosier manufacturing jobs under the Biden Administration.
  • 339.7 thousand Indiana households have received affordable, high-speed Internet through the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) since President Biden took office.
  • 1 million Hoosier seniors and other Medicare Part D beneficiaries will save money on prescription drug costs because of President Biden’s $2,000 yearly cap on out-of-pocket prescription drug costs, a $35 dollar monthly cap per insulin prescription, and free vaccines

Let’s elect more Hoosier Democrats
We can't sit this one out.
